NEARLY 300 residents and the mayor turned out to join in the fun in an event run by Homes for Islington’s Old Street office recently.  A barbeque with food provided by the construction firm Mulalleys gave the crowds energy to take part in an Arsenal Positive Futures kickabout area, gladiator fighting sticks and a couple of obligatory bouncy castles. 

For those wanting a more sedate experience, there were stands to watch wool being spun or to make clay bowls and face painting. 

The event concluded with a raffle full of impressive prizes donated by Kier, Arsenal and local establishments Fish Central and trendy Look Mum No Hands!

Homes for Islington is one of the UK’s largest arms length management organisations (ALMO), which is charged with managing council housing stock throughout the borough.  It is owned by Islington Council and managed by a Board of Directors, made up of Islington tenants and leaseholders, council representatives and independent members.
