ART workshops will be taking place to study the work of artists exhibiting at the Schwartz Gallery in Hackney Wick this week-end under the guidance of London College of Fashion tutor Ismail Erbil.

The Schwartz Gallery introduces a new series of educational workshops as part of its programme of exhibitions responding directly to the art works displayed in the gallery space. 

The first workshop will be run by Ismail, who is also one of the directors of the Gallery.

He will be running a series of art  and fashion workshops looking at the relationship between the body and contemporary visual art and how this relationship can be expressed through drawing and ideas for fashion design. 

The first workshop looks at the work of artist Doug Burton in his solo exhibition at the gallery.

Workshops are held outside normal gallery opening hours. There are no age restrictions, although children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

There are two sessions available for this exhibition: Saturday 31st July 10 a.m - 12 p.m - Sunday 1st August 10a.m - 12 p.m (2 hours)

This event is free but with a suggested donation of £5.
